Donations

Thank you for contacting Ray's Boathouse in regards to your charity request! Ray's has been a generous supporter of Washington charities over the last 37 years and receives well over 3500 requests every year from many organizations seeking support. While we appreciate that every cause is worthwhile, we cannot offer support for all of the requests we receive. At times, we must decline participation in a great and worthy program or event because we have already committed our budget. We ask that telephone calls requesting a donation or regarding the status of your request not be made due to the volume we receive.

To insure that we can make the most of our charitable donations, we offer the following guidelines for those seeking support from Ray's Boathouse:

WE ARE MORE LIKELY TO SUPPORT CHARITIES THAT ARE:

• Within the Seattle area
• Aimed at supporting children's causes
• Aimed at feeding less fortunate people
• Aimed at supporting sustainable food and environmental causes

WE ARE UNLIKELY TO SUPPORT CHARITIES THAT ARE:

• Outside the Seattle area
• Fundraising for individuals or for-profit businesses
• Non-registered charities
• Political organizations
• Religious organizations
• Private schools/daycares
• Organizations that discriminate
• Athletic organizations such as sports teams due to the sheer number of them and we believe it would be unfair to support one over another.

HOW TO SUBMIT A DONATION REQUEST

• All requests must be submitted in writing at least 8 weeks prior to the event date.
• Please NO PHONE CALLS.
• Proof of charitable status must be provided.

DECISION PROCESS

• We meet monthly to review all requests.
• Organizations are limited to one donation per calendar year.
• We ask that telephone calls regarding the status of your request not be made due to the volume of requests we receive.
