Maureen "Mo" Shaw

General Manager

Born and raised in Seattle, Mo started her restaurant career in1973 while studying food and nutrition in college. She began working with Restaurants Unlimited in 1983 and quickly ascended the ranks to management, opening and operating restaurants in Washington, California and Chicago. In 1997, she joined Ray's Boathouse as general manager.

Mo is continually inspired by the ever-changing facets of the restaurant business and thrives on turning obstacles into opportunities. Anyone who has met her knows that she is passionate about building relationships with guests and crew with her endless energy, engaging style and genuine sincerity.

Mo is a mentor and resource for countless restaurant industry professionals and the guiding force behind Ray's success for more than a decade. She was recently awarded the 2011 Washington Wine Commission Walter Clore Honorarium for her commitment and support of the Washington wine industry. She also received the 2008 Full-Service Operator of the Year Award by the Washington Restaurant Association. Among her many professional and personal contributions, she is a founding member of the Dine Around Seattle promotion, board member for the Education Foundation of the Washington Restaurant Association and its Seattle Chapter, and participates in numerous charitable events for children, breast cancer and hunger.

Mo loves being on the water (former owner of a vintage Chris Craft) and enjoys international travel, food and wine. She is an avid walker and spends her free time with her husband Joe, family and friends.
