RAY'S DOES "TOP OF THE LIST TUESDAYS"
FOR TUESDAYS IN BALLARD
Every Tuesday, July 6-August 31, 2010
Need an incentive to head to Ballard (and more specifically... Ray's!) on a Tuesday? The In Ballard Merchants Association has just the ticket: the aptly named Tuesdays in Ballard campaign! Every Tuesday from July 6-August 31, come to Ballard for fun promotions and events at participating retailers, restaurants, banks and businesses. Before you begin your shopping excursion, or after a successful day of deal-hunting, come by Ray's, whisper our secret special password "IT'S TUESDAY IN BALLARD" (clever, huh!) to the host, and get your name rocketed to the top of our waitlist! On the off-chance that someone else uses the password just before you, tables will be seated in first-come order. Valid for Cafe, Boathouse and Deck seating...but only on Tuesday.
**THUNDERING HOOVES AND
BLUEBIRD GRAIN FARM DINNER**
Thursday, September 2, 2010, 6:00-8:00 pm
in the Boathouse
For some, sustainable farming is a way of life they learned from their parents. For others, it's an epiphany about the balance between nature and modern living. Our feature farms this month have taken farming back to the beginning. Everything they do respects the cycle of life, whether it's raising cattle or growing ancient grains. Instead of pushing the soil to produce bigger-better-faster-more, they work with the land to create a feed, grow, harvest and rest cycle that is self-sustaining. From their farm to your table, they are involved every step of the way. We are pleased to host The Huesby Family from Thundering Hooves and Brooke Lucy from Bluebird Grain Farms to our Boathouse Dining Room. A special menu is available for this evening, see below.
