Copper River Salmon Season Has Arrived at Ray’s Boathouse

Copper River Salmon Season Has Arrived at Ray’s Boathouse

Copper River Salmon at Ray's boathouse with corn puree and morels

One of the most anticipated traditions of the year has returned! Find wild Copper River salmon at Ray’s Boathouse now.

Fresh from the icy waters of Alaska, Copper River salmon has long been celebrated for its exceptional flavor, rich texture, and vibrant color. Thanks to the Copper River’s powerful currents and frigid temperatures, these fish develop higher natural fat content than most salmon, creating the buttery, luxurious taste that seafood lovers wait all year to enjoy.

At Ray’s, Copper River salmon has been a seasonal highlight for decades. For generations of Seattle diners, the arrival of the first Copper River catch signals the unofficial start of summer on the waterfront. Year after year, guests return to celebrate the season with family dinners, special occasions, and unforgettable sunset views over Puget Sound.

This year, we’re serving both Copper River King and Sockeye salmon, grilled to perfection and paired with a beautiful collection of seasonal ingredients: sweet corn purée, colorful succotash, and sautéed morel mushrooms. The result is a dish that showcases the freshness of the Pacific Northwest while honoring one of Alaska’s most prized fisheries.

To elevate the experience even further, ask one of our sommeliers for a recommended Oregon Pinot Noir. The wine’s bright acidity and elegant fruit notes make it a classic companion to the rich flavors of Copper River salmon.

Whether Copper River season is a longtime tradition for you or your first opportunity to experience this celebrated fish, there’s no better place to enjoy it than at Ray’s. Join us for dinner in our first-floor Boathouse or for lunch and dinner in our second-floor Café—but don’t wait too long. Like every Copper River season, this special is only available for a limited time.

We look forward to celebrating this beloved Northwest tradition with you.

At Ray’s Boathouse, being part of the Seattle community means supporting the people, organizations, and teams that make our city such a vibrant place to live. That’s why we’re excited to sponsor semi-professional soccer clubs Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC during their 2026 seasons!

Both clubs have become beloved in Seattle’s soccer scene and the Ballard neighborhood, bringing together passionate fans, talented athletes, and a strong sense of neighborhood pride. The action begins when Ballard FC takes the field for their season opener on May 15 at Interbay Stadium, followed by Salmon Bay FC’s home opener on May 22 at the same venue.

As a longtime Seattle waterfront restaurant, Ray’s loves celebrating local connections, and these clubs embody the community spirit that makes our city special. Whether you’re a lifelong soccer fan or simply looking for a fun summer outing with family and friends, a match at Interbay Stadium is a fantastic way to spend an evening.

Throughout the season, fans can look forward to some exciting collaborations between Ray’s and the teams. Keep an eye on our social media channels for special content. We’ll also be giving away game tickets throughout the season, offering our guests a chance to experience the energy and excitement of match day firsthand.

Before or after the game, make Ray’s part of your soccer-day tradition. Stop by our 1st floor Boathouse or 2nd floor Cafe for fresh Northwest seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and iconic waterfront views while celebrating a great season of local soccer. Our Cafe offers casual lunches, happy hour, and dinner and our Boathouse offers dinner and happy hour nightly. Both have the best Seattle restaurant patios and outdoor dining you can find! Reserve the Boathouse indoor dining room online here. Cafe and Boathouse decks are walk in only.

We’re proud to support Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC and look forward to cheering them on all summer long. See you at the matches—and at Ray’s!
